The following are basic contest rules for any/all contest, both on and off air, featured on O.B.C. radio stations including KUMU-FM, KPOI-FM, KDDB-FM and KQMQ-FM. Each contest may have its own special qualifications and eligibility rules, in which case, a separate list of rules will be available for public inspection.
Contests are open to all Hawaiiresidents unless otherwise specified by O.B.C. HAWAIIof its affiliates. Must have a valid photo identification. Employees of O.B.C. HAWAIIits advertising agencies, their affiliates, representatives, and their families, are ineligible to enter/win any contest executed on O.B.C. HAWAIIradio stations. Contests are limited to one entry per person / per household unless otherwise stated.
O.B.C. HAWAII, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors, or representatives, absolves itself of any liability, financial or otherwise resultant of any on or off air contest conducted by O.B.C. HAWAII. All winners acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that O.B.C. HAWAII, has the right to publicize and/or broadcast his/her name, character, likeness, voice, and all matters incidental here-in.
All prizes (or applicable certificate thereof) must be claimed in person, and signed for by the winner, upon presentation of proper identification. (Drivers license, State I.D., Passport). Designated “winner” representatives will be allowed to claim prizes in another’s behalf, upon written and telephone confirmation.
Prizes or any accumulation of prizes within one (1) year equaling $600 or more will be reported by O.B.C. HAWAII to the Internal Revenue Service as required by law. Winners understand and agree they are responsible for all taxes incurred on prizes received.
All prizes, unless otherwise specified by O.B.C. HAWAII must be claimed within (30) days of winning, between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays at O.B.C. HAWAII offices located at 1000 Bishop Street, Suite 200 Honolulu, HI 96813. O.B.C. HAWAII will not presume to notify winners of the time remaining on their winnings. It is the winner’s responsibility to claim their prize within the specified time frame. O.B.C. HAWAII will not mail out prizes to any winners.
O.B.C. HAWAIIwill not, to unavailability of prizes awarded, substitute another prize, of equal value, for that which was originally won.
Winners are not eligible to participate in any O.B.C. Hawaii radio station contests for a period of thirty (30) days from the original date of qualifying or winning a contest and/or prize conducted by any O.B.C. HAWAII radio station including KUMU-FM, K
All prizes are non-transferable.
O.B.C. HAWAII reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to revoke any prize awarded and to disqualify any individual it finds, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest; to be in violation of the Terms of Service of the contest, to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner including theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the O.B.C. HAWAII contest phone line and any other behavior deemed disruptive or unauthorized by O.B.C. HAWAII or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods. O.B.C. HAWAIIwill prosecute any fraudulent activities to the full extent of the law.
In the event two telephone lines are “tied together” during a phone in contest, the entire call will be disqualified and another call will be taken. O.B.C. HAWAIIcannot award duplicate prizes to both parties in a ”tied together” situation. An example of a “tied together” call may be two telephone calls generated from the same location or residence. In order to win grand prize, qualifier pulled must be able to be reached at phone number given at time of drawing.
Once a prize is released it becomes the sole responsibility of the winner and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
All contest entries become the property of O.B.C. HAWAII. No purchase necessary to play/win. Void where prohibited by law. Rules are subject to change without notice. All decisions are final by O.B.C. HAWAII
